While our offices are based in New York City and Boston, our work brings us across the country. We have successfully led campaigns in New York, Boston, Brooklyn, San Francisco, and Santa Barbara as well as in more unusual locales like farms in the middle of Tennessee and Wisconsin and beachside destinations in Montauk and Newport. We have a far-seeing vision for our clients and the know-how and talent to secure media placements, create marketing partnerships, offer consulting services, and execute events. We prioritize creating lasting relationships with people, telling a good and colorful story, working really hard and having an incredible time along the way.

The name 44 underscores our strategy: to start within the 4-walls of a client’s business - understanding who they are, how they work, why they will succeed and where the most compelling stories lie. We then translate this knowledge into powerful stories as they speak to the 4 arenas of the press: print, television, radio and digital.

Chris brings nearly two decades of experience in public relations to his role as Partner and Founder of 44.  His career began in New York City where he handled PR in-house for the then world-famous Tavern on the Green. Chris then moved to Boston where he became Public Relations Director for restaurateurs Jody Adams and Michela Larson and their Sapphire Restaurant Group, which included the nationally acclaimed restaurants Rialto, blu and a sophisticated upscale bar, Noir.  After four successful years with Larson and Adams, Chris became Brand Promotion Manager at Kortenhaus Communications, also in Boston, where his clients represented the best in their fields including food & beverage, travel & tourism, retail, entertainment and sports.  One of the highlights of his time there was handling the PR for the Democratic National Convention in Boston.

In 2005 Chris moved to New York City and joined the acclaimed hospitality firm Bullfrog & Baum where he represented internationally renowned culinary personalities such as Bobby Flay, Marcus Samuelsson, Alfred Portale and John Besh.

After five years with Bullfrog, Chris was excited to partner with former colleague Alexandra Hynes to form 44. Chris hails from the Hudson Valley, New York and is a graduate of Syracuse University with a BA in Communications.

Alexandra began her career in public relations at Bullfrog & Baum where she worked with Chris Langley to represent internationally renowned personalities, restaurants and hotels. In one short year, she and Chris introduced six new restaurants to the food and lifestyle press, launched The Food Network’s series, “The Next Iron Chef,” represented Boston’s beloved Eliot Hotel, and worked closely with world-class, celebrity chefs like Bobby Flay and Marcus Samuelsson.

In 2008, Alexandra set out on her own and became a freelance publicist. Through the firm TK\PR she opened The St. Regis Deer Valley Resort in Park City, Utah, bringing the resort through all phases of press. In 2010, she was thrilled to launch 44 Communications with her mentor, turned business partner, Chris Langley.

Alexandra graduated from Harvard University with a Bachelor of Arts in Government and a Citation in Spanish. She is passionate about both Acting and Improv, and has worked in the industry in all mediums: Film, TV and Theatre.
