ABOUT 44

44 is a creative, lifestyle public relations firm with a distinctly personal approach to our work. Since launching in 2009, 44 has represented some of the country's most exciting pioneers in a diversity of industries — from travel to music to hospitality to real estate. We have successfully led campaigns in Boston, Manhattan, Brooklyn, San Francisco, and Santa Barbara to name a few, as well as in more unusual locales — farms in the middle of Tennessee and Wisconsin, and beach side destinations in Montauk and Newport.

With a far-seeing vision for our clients, we have the relationships, the know-how and the talent to secure media placements, create marketing partnerships, offer consulting services, and execute events. We prioritize creating lasting relationships with our clients, working with many of them since the inception of our company, telling a good and colorful story, and having an incredible time along the way.

The name 44 underscores our strategy: to start within a client’s four walls, understanding who they are, how they work, why they will succeed and where the most compelling stories lie. We then translate this knowledge into powerful stories as they speak to the four arenas of the press: print, television, radio and digital.

CHRIS LANGLEY, CO-FOUNDER

Chris brings nearly two decades of experience in public relations to his role as Partner and Founder of 44.  His career began in New York City where he handled PR in-house for the then world-famous Tavern on the Green. Chris then moved to Boston where he became Public Relations Director for restaurateurs Jody Adams and Michela Larson and their nationally acclaimed restaurant Rialto.  After four successful years with Larson and Adams, Chris became Brand Promotion Manager at Kortenhaus Communications, also in Boston, where his clients represented the best in their fields including food & beverage, travel & tourism, retail, entertainment and sports.  One of the highlights of his time there was handling the PR for the Democratic National Convention in Boston. In 2005, Chris moved to New York City and joined the acclaimed hospitality firm Bullfrog & Baum where he represented internationally renowned culinary personalities, such as Bobby Flay and Marcus Samuelsson. After five years with Bullfrog, Chris was excited to partner with his former colleague Alexandra to form 44. Chris hails from the Hudson Valley, New York and is a graduate of Syracuse University with a BA in Communications.

ALEXANDRA SULLIVAN, CO-FOUNDER

Alexandra began her career in public relations at Bullfrog & Baum where she worked with Chris Langley to represent internationally renowned personalities, restaurants and hotels. In one short year, she and Chris introduced six new restaurants to the food and lifestyle press, launched The Food Network’s series, “The Next Iron Chef,” represented Boston’s beloved Eliot Hotel, and worked closely with world-class, celebrity chefs like Bobby Flay and Marcus Samuelsson. In 2008, Alexandra set out on her own and became a freelance publicist. As a contractor for NY firm TK\PR she led the campaign for The St. Regis Deer Valley Resort in Park City, Utah, bringing the resort through all phases of press, from construction to grand opening and beyond. In 2010, Alexandra was thrilled to launch 44 Communications with her mentor, turned business partner, Chris. Alexandra graduated from Harvard University with a Bachelor of Arts in Government and Spanish.
